There’s an important distinction between coaching outcomes and therapeutic work. Therapy is not designed to produce rapid transformation on demand; it prioritizes safety, consent, pacing, and complexity. When effectiveness is narrowly defined as speed or visible change, it can unintentionally pathologize clients whose nervous systems are not yet organized for action.
