I have very few memories from my childhood. Its like my brain has them locked up, or erased them. My primal question is "am I good enough" It was hard to know growing up. There is more an all encompassing feeling of never being sure, rather than memories to support or confirm it. Will keep reading these emails and trying to discover more.
Man. I loved this dispatch, especially the clarity around confusion rather than only trauma being a source. I've had this conversation with my best friend regarding our shared primal question from VERY different childhoods.
I explain the 7 Primal Questions often to friends. I would add one thing to your "no or maybe" framework. I tell folks that sometimes the answer was also a conditional yes. That you had to earn the yes and so now assume you have to earn the yes from others.
